Lauren – I really, really enjoyed these. They made me laugh and cry. You’re quite a writer! I hope all is well and that you’re enjoying life in CA. Love, Linda
These are so amazing- compelling notes and written so beautifully (and hysterically!). Makes me miss your mom and you.
Lots of love,
Lauren, I think your blog is a great idea. May be it’s even an inspiration for me to get my feelings out on a blog. I feel the same way when I say ‘my parents are dead”. There is always an awkward pause. I actually said my dad croked one night. Sometimes it’s just too raw and I need to make it a joke. It’s a coping mechanism. Well, I need it being that i lost both parents to lung cancer, both within 6 weeks of diagnosis. Booo. Being a mom is the hardest part. I feel that I have to overcompensate (and I do) for my kids. Some life situations are unbearable without being able to hear your mom just listen and hear you out. Other days I marvel at how I have this thing called life figured out. It’s just a different adventure without our parents helping us down the path.
Thanks for sharing and I look forward to future posts.
Thanks and by the way, my 9 year old beautiful daughter is named Lauren too.
xoxo, Patty, Atlanta
Your writing style is so easy to read and inspiring, Lauren. I look forward to reading your blog! “Infinity” is one of my favorite words – great choice for a name. Oh, I had lunch at Circa on Tuesday and thought of you 🙂

Solo!!!! Thanks so much for your support! I hope you keep reading, and next time you’re at Circa, have a glass a wine for me. Hope all is well, and if you’re ever out in SF in the future, PLEASE let me know!
My wife used to work with you in DC and turned me onto your blog tonight. Without a doubt, this is the most compelling thing I have found on Blogger or WordPress since I started my little web outpost last year. I wish you the best going forward — hopefully we’ll grab a bite next time we visit my family in Marin!
Erik, thank you very much for your support, and I’m so glad you were introduced to The Infinity Game. Thank you for your well wishes, and I’d love to connect at some point in SF or Marin!
All the best,
